Not Mickey Rooney, he was in the Army, sorry OP.
EDIT: that guy probably knew he looked like him, too, and I bet got a lot of attention. Rooney was at his peak when he enlisted in ‘44.

Sorry, that’s not Mickey. It’s actually Richard “Rickey” Rooney, his little brother. Sometimes was referred to as Little Rickey Rooney. Was killed in action in 1943, I believe.

The gent on the far left resembles Mickey Rooney, but the actual Rooney was in the Army, not the Navy.
Not on topic, but I always laugh when I see a photo like this and then remember my mother telling me that back in her day “no one had sex before they were married.”
