You know, I’ve always joked about this, but I never thought someone would ACTUALLY put a SmartCar in a truck bed.

If it fits, I park.
Quickly! Into the escape pod!!
Probably blew out the suspension
Worth it tho
Yo Dawg!
I find their lack of chains and straps disturbing.
Are they just relying on the parking brake?
A great way to destroy the suspension.
>Smart cars are generally lighter than standard ones. Smart cars average at around **1,550 pounds**, with the heaviest one on the record being around **2,998 pounds.**

>Payload capacity can be determined by an easy calculation. Simply subtract your truck’s curb weight from the GVWR to get the payload capacity. For example, say your truck’s GVWR is 7050 lbs and your truck’s curb weight is 4500 lbs. Its load capacity would be **2550 lbs**.
That looks like too much weight on the tail gate… No strapping, blocking or anything else to stop it from shifting as well is problematic. I would not follow it.
The question is how did it get there? Did it drive over the tailgate, or over inclined planks put on the tailgate bending it downwards?
Work smartcar not hardcar.
You’d think they would have backed it in so the engine would be supported between the front and back wheels instead of having the engine all being supported by the tailgate.
It’s just common sen…. Disregard, no common sense here.

That poor Ram is going to need the smart car to finish the trip maybe a set of 5000lb airbags might help
I’ll admit those under-bed spare tires are hard to get to but this is overkill.
Cute. It’s like a child getting a piggyback ride from the parent
Welp, the load isn’t strapped down and the rear frame is down on the axle bump stops, so this is all around a terrible idea.
My F250 has a 3,000 lb cargo capacity, which would work out fine in this situation, but that poor half ton is is struggling.
It work it works intrusive thoughts for the win
It needs an extended ramp, so he could drive on and off the truck on the highway, like Knight Rider.
The next pothole or bump awards a smart car to the car behind him…
Surprised it’s not a motha f**kin Ford Ranger
Needs a ‘Baby Onboard’ sticker
If it fits, it sits
So close, so close! Now all that remains is to put a Vespa in the Smart car and then we will have reached the pinnacle, the very peak – we will have
A TRUCKDUCKEN
That car is about 3 times the max weight capacity of the truck. The suspension, and more importantly the brakes, are not rated for that. He’s an accident waiting to happen.
Probably leaves it there for when the transmission goes out.
It’s so interesting, the world is so big, so many things are happening that we haven’t seen before
I wonder if there’s a funnier lol,
I know a JDM Daihatsu Midget 2 (1400 lbs) fits in a longbed pickup. My F450 Super, with a 12 foot flatbed and a 3 foot liftgate, sure, it can handle anything that fits, but a 6 1/2 foot half-ton is overloaded with a Smart (2100 lbs). Probably not going to break anything, if you stay on pavement, but still, it’s over capacity.
He may have damaged his bed and wrecked his suspension, but at least he’s getting amazing fuel economy in that smart car.
Stupidity knows no bounds. if it can be done there is someone out there who will do it, it’s only a matter of time.
