Nobody cares. Certainly not enough to patronize your monetized video.
I bought a pet rock because it was a funny conversation piece. An ‘established title’ is exactly the same thing.
People too stupid to know that get what they deserve, but please don’t be a Debbie Downer trying to destroy something that gives a lot of people entertainment.
there is the point that a reasonable person may consider established titles as a gag gift or novelty.
However, I think that this is just below scamming the elderly with fake phone calls since an elderly person (or a person not fact checking) could easily believe this gag gift is real from the advertising.
Also, many YouTubers advertised this as genuine so it’s not like established titles marketed themselves as a gag gift. The business is not sincere with what they are selling.
Fuck every single person who is saying “lol if you couldn’t tell you deserve to lose your money”. My partner bought this as a gift for me and she was so happy about it. I felt like it was suss but I kept my mouth shut because the money was spent, and told her I appreciated it. She was over the moon about it for days and if she ever finds out it’s got no basis in actually being a “lord/lady” she’s going to be really upset about it. She’s a good, smart person, who had a moment where she really wanted to give a loved one a unique gift and in that moment it overrode her reasoning. That kind of thing can happen to anybody, and she doesn’t deserve to be ripped off like this. Scammers can get fucked every time, stop blaming victims.
I got my kids titles from Lord Titles a few years ago. They loved them! They called each other “Lord” and “Lady” for a couple of weeks, and that was the end of it.
I think Established Titles shot themselves in the foot with the advertising campaign, though. The exclusivity is the majority of the fun. Lord Titles uses the *the title can give you an advantage in service environments* pull. But if everyone knows that anyone can just buy these titles for a trivia fee, then the titles have no value.
They WERE a great gag gift. Now, even if you were legally entitled to the title, it still would be a lame gift.
I never thought of it as a scam. But then again, I never actually believed I’d own land in Scotland.
Just a cheeky way of getting people to donate to a nature reserve.
But that was years ago, not sure what they’ve been upto since.
Oh fuck you mean not every Scottish homeowner is a Lord? Who would have though.
For only 59.99 tho you can get a PhD in scamology from my unaccredited university and require people to call you doctor mc Lord, you can even put it on your Costco card.
Well, if there is a way to make me have sympathy for Established Titles is this pompous idiot with horrible track record on actual recent legal cases saying they are a scam.
Whenever I saw an Established Titles sponsorships I wondered to myself “it’s so east to just create a piece of paper and charge money for it, I wonder if this is actually fake”
So I was not the least surprised.
BTW there are videos from years ago saying that they are a scam, it just didn’t caught up so strongly.
Not just Established Titles but everything coming from that company is a scam like those Kamikoto Knives almost every youtuber proudly shills how they’re made in Japan.

Late-stage capitalism exploiting general ignorance for profit, toeing the line of scammy novelty what else is new. I’ve got a star to sell you.
Edit: Are you all taking my clearly sarcastic comment seriously… this is a SCAM, period what argument even is there?
I think Brandon Rogers got had by this company. He had a video where he had a plot of land.
Dammit. I’ve already gotten my robes and hat. Without the title I’ll just look silly.
Whenever I see a LegalEagle video I’m always like “no way I’m gonna watch the whole thing,” and then I end up watching the whole thing. Good stuff!
I’m still keeping “Lord” in my Tinder profile. It’s a good way to weed out intelligent women with standards who I don’t have a shot with anyway.
Who saw those ads and didn’t think it was a scam? It is right up there with buying a star or land on Mars or the moon.
I’m happy with my small piece of land in the Laphroaig distillery. Thank you very much.
All of this is no fun. Thanks for making sure it wasn’t fun.

It’s wild that Americans need that explained to them. ‘No you can’t buy an ancient dukedom in Scotland’
“everyones heard about it” “it blew up the internet”
wait what? never heard of it and I feel like I’m terminally online
I am gonna name my son Lord
I cannot *stand* LegalEagle, but he is right on this one.
How no-one understands that ET is just a goofy joke present that you can give to people or yourself.
It’s like when you could buy ‘land on the moon’, it’s a joke, a goof, a lol.
Y’all laughed at me when I bought Lunar real estate, but we will see who gets gazumped
To the surprise of, checking… one second, it’s around here somewhere, yes here it is. No one.
Scam seems pretty harsh for something that’s clearly a joke.
Unless they don’t actually preserve the forests.

Why is everything a frigging scam these days?!?

It is not necessarily a scam. Most sites state that it isn’t really a lawful title and some sites sell “titles” to raise money to preserve land.

Man, Legal Eagle really exploded over the past few years. I remember stumbling upon his channel when he had <1k subs. Good for him!
All sorts of royalty titles are a scam.
That royalty sh*t is something that must end. Everywhere!
No shit.
I mean I didn’t think anyone really thought it was legit. It said on the website the money went for Forrest preservation
Duh….?
You mean I’m not really a lord!?!
People should have stuck to buying the OG, sealand. I was a Lord before it was cool…
I’ve seen this on youtube. I honestly thought it was like a font or program for making youtube video titles. I guess not…
Not just Established Titles but everything coming from that company is a scam like those Kamikoto Knives almost every youtuber proudly shills how they’re made in Japan.
Does this guy remind anyone else of a good looking, sharply dressed, modern day Abe Lincoln to anyone else? Just me? alright.
