Yeah- you probably had one too. And yeah- you probably had the same haircut as well. 1974

i have a photo of me somewhere with this same hair cut and riding this same bike in ‘99
Yes and yes.
Correct on both
Both for sure
Big wheel and a bowl cut, Christmas 1970. Learned the need for wearing shoes on it because of that metal washer that held the pedal on. Still remember that pinch.
I can hear that picture
Yes, but some big kids from down the street took mine and stepped on the seat, breaking the plastic frame. I cried because I couldn’t understand why people could be mean like that for no reason. That was around 47 years ago. It might be time to let that go.
Can confirm
Dukes of Hazzard on my shiz.
Hells yeah. I won a Big Wheel race at my school on a Sunday afternoon in the early 70s. Took the $0.50 prize money to my local drugstore and bought a Duncan yo-yo. Priceless
The original drift machine! Until you wore holes in those janky plastic back “tires”!
Are we just going to ignore that flooring? Issued to every inhabitant of the suburbs in the 70s!
I did, and I did.
Shit, that could have been me in 1982 or thereabouts
That might as well be a picture of me around 1977.
My hair was shorter and whiter but otherwise, yes.
Rode mine til the front wheel split in two!
I’ve always wanted an adult-sized Big Wheel. And it _has to have_ plastic wheels so I can skid out
Yeah but girl with afro.
Yup on both counts.
Big Wheels fo life!
Pulled behind a bike by a rope and over the plywood ramp.
Different hairstyle but same ride
Yep, that could be a picture of me.
After my time. We had bikes.
Haircut yes, Big Wheel, no. But, I wanted a Big Wheel.
Hair yes, but I talked my grandparents into a green machine.
“Come play with us Danny”
Bill Gates still has that haircut.
My man I had the same cut in ‘95
Gotta give the Big Wheel love!!!!! Guilty of the haircut too.
Just looking at the picture makes me hear the sound of those hollow plastic wheels on pavement… especially pavement with little pebbles and sand here and there.
Jesus dude….do you have a missing twin? That picture could be me.
Skidding out and turning it around simultaneously was the best!
How many of you also got a “flat” from slamming on the breaks so much to skid to a stop?
I had a Knight Rider one. Not that haircut though.
I thought that was pic of me lol
REDRUM
My brother had the exact same haircut when he was that little lol. He may have also had a bike like that.
Where’s the spinout bar….
Yup, I had the same big wheel until I traded up to a Spinout 360!
My first, and likely greatest vehicle…
Red rum!
My brothers had one. I was 12. And I thought it would be a funny idea to ride it down the hill our house was on. I started about 3 houses up, and took off down the sidewalk. I suddenly realized 2 things: One– I was going WAY TOO FAST! And B: My leg was going to hit the corner of that little concrete wall that surrounded our front yard. And 3: I couldn’t really do anything about it. OUCH!
‘77 and I actually thought it was me in the photo lol!
I have that haircut now
This looks so much like my son, who is 44 this year. Same blondish hair in a bowl cut and it looks kind of like Grandpa’s backyard patio.
Yep and yep. I loved my big wheel. The haircut probably not as much
I was a Green Machine kid in the Big Wheel gang.
You look freakishly exactly like my little brother did back then!
