One of the hardest openers on a debut album IMO
>”Ghost face, catch the blast of a hype verse, my Glock burst, leave in a hearse, I did worse”
Listened to that album every morning getting ready for sophomore year of high school. It’s a shame most of Reddit missed out on the 90s.
They had wu-tang shirts before the first album was recorded?
GOATS
Is this from a documentary or something?
Wu TANG ain’t nothing to fuck with!!!
I don’t think to this day people realize how rare, unique and amazing Wu is.
90s kid, my teenager calls me a boomer *
Trying to tell them I grew up as an immigrant with nothing yall, they don’t know the struggle.
Features one of my favorite R&B samples, taken from The Charmels song As Long As I’ve Got You. Both songs are fire.
Listened to a lot of hiphop in my teenage years. At some point i sold all my cd’s, but this was the only one i kept..! #Wu4Life
RZA is perhaps the best Hip Hop producer of all time. Plus his scores are excellent. Shoutout Ghost Dog
So young!!!
*36 Chambers* is the truth ya’ll
certified old school cool™
how did we go from this to mumbling
That time period was really the golden age of Hip-Hop.
Just one of the greatest rap songs ever made.
I also remember visiting SF on my honeymoon and finding a C.R.E.A.M. Cookies store. That was cool.
This is sick
Maaad love!! Suuuuuuu👐🏼
Now this is what you call Old School Cool
Just reinforces how on point the casting for *Wu Tang Saga* was
My first rap CD ever. Best motivational track for hyping myself up before a match or summat
Get Peter Jackson on the phone.
So many quotables from this song! You know they just knew this was gonna be big.
Ugh man. That old school eat coast hip hop is beautiful and just hits so right. Love me some blackstar as well.
Crap nowadays. Anyone have any good recommendations these days?
One of the greatest tunes of all time, imho.
I don’t think many people realize how incredibly advanced and far ahead of his time RZA was as a producer. What he accomplished with focus and few resources is nothing short of mindblowing. His process he talks about in The Tao of Wu is enlightening.
I identify heavily with the lone white guy bobbing his head alone in the back.
Recently been listening to that first album for the first time and HOOLY SHIT I’ve been missing out
M E T H O D – MAN!
Biggest collection of rap talent ever assembled.
Inspectah Deck doesn’t get enough love. No free-association like you sometimes get from Rae, just mini-stories with each verse.
Recorded history
So valuable
Get the money dolla dolla bill y’all!
Old school cool? More like old school legends!
This is my “Classic Rock”

All time banger
Before rap became whatever the fuck Travis Scott is
The Hulu show that shows the story of wu-tang is pretty good. I recommend it if you are a fan, especially if you were just a tad too young to experience this time period while it happened.
I have a black sweater with CREAM and the Wu Tang symbol in yellow on the front. Everywhere I go all different types of people talk with me about it. Most recently a dude took off his shirt in a bar to show me his Wu Tang tattoos. This group really speaks to people of all backgrounds. They freaking rule.
What is this video from?
It feels like it’s part of a larger documentary that I need to see
I was a metalhead but this was the album that turned me on to rap.x
NS 10s doing work. Sorry. Audio nerd. First thing I saw.
