You just don’t understand the game of basketball.
This move is so effective the NBA had to make it illegal in 1952. The last player to use this move scored 268 pts in the first quarter.
She’s clearly a true student of the game and a force to be reckoned with, show some respect.
Ehhh, the Catwoman basketball scene is hard to be worse than.
It also looks like they don’t understand that the shot has to go up before the buzzer, but the ball can still be in flight after time expires and count. Maybe they didn’t care about making the moment as dramatic as possible, but the rest of the scene makes me believe they just didn’t have anyone with basketball knowledge in the building, and they didn’t care.
This isn’t **the** scene from Catwoman so it is factually incorrect.

How dare you besmirch the good name of Disney channel original movies!
Because I feel like documenting the issues:
1) Close up shows player receiving ball, holding it over her head. Wide shot shows player holding ball around chest height. Next shot shows her bringing the ball down from overhead to around chest height.
2) Wide shot shows player is 5 ft. off the 3-point line, 30 seconds into the scene, we see a zoom on her feet, and she is inside the 3-point line, and nary a dribble has been made.
3) Clock is at 7 seconds when player looks up, 1.2 seconds expires in the shot. Roughly 50 seconds pass in the scene, cut between regular speed and slow motion, before we see the clock again, and it reads 0.5 seconds as the last shot soars to the basket.
4) Back to positioning – Player executes devastating head/ball fake maneuver, and teleports BACK behind the 3-point line, stepping into a drive down the lane.
5) Defense is terrible. Leaves player open outside 3-point line for a lifetime. Defender on the kickout jumps a year before the shot goes up without so much as a pumpfake to draw her off her feet.
6) The shuffle things is…. I don’t even know what it is.
Okay, I was expecting that scene from Catwoman, but I will not stand for Double Teamed slander.
Definitely not a travel. She didn’t have control of the ball so the steps don’t matter. This isn’t the worst sports scene. I always think of that Fresh Prince basketball scene where the court is like 30 feet long

The scene in question takes place about half way through the video. Even if you aren’t an avid bowler, you can easily see the continuity error with the 7-10 pin setup. Then toss in the fact that you could never pick up the 7-10 split this way. This scene enraged me when I was younger, and I’m glad to see it holds up in it’s awfulness.
It’s really not that awful… the little steps before the juke were weird as hell but the time thing? It’s stretched out for dramatic effect. That wasn’t a travel. It’s okay that the ball went in before the buzzer – not everyone knows a released ball is still live.
This is dumb. Was expecting something like Catwoman, just got meh. Downvote.

Even though it’s a shitty movie, you lost all credibility when you called the travel at 0:50. Such a call shows you know about as much about basketball as the people who made the movie.

I’ve watched this video I don’t know how many times now, but I’ve been on the fence of a few things this guy is talking about. First: this scene is poorly made, acted and written (I guess?).
Second: There’s really only one (1) wrong thing for basketball – how she transports inside the 3 point line.
* She can hold her dribble.
* The scene is slowed even more after we look at the clock, so no problems with time running out.
* Both her feet remain on the court – it *is* ridiculous how many moves she makes, but legal.
* Skipping teleportation
*Terrible defense, but whatever.
* The second girl did not travel. She did not have possession of the ball on her first step.
*We’ve established how time has slowed so our game winning shot is fine (though the form wasn’t great).
So all but one real problem.
You’re forgetting about Catwoman.

Even if it WAS 6 seconds.
Count 6 seconds out in your head. Now imagine your watching a game and for 6 SOLID seconds there is a player just having a rev up seizure on the side of the court. With nobody around her for some reason.
Double Teamed. They used to play this movie nonstop in Canada on the family channel.
