Holy crap thats impressive one lucky kid.
Impressive! Very well made.
Well done Grandpa! Wish I’d had such lovely handmade toys growing up.
They’re all very cool but I’m especially diggin’ the P-40 with the shark mouth and the old-school USAAC wing markings.
This is awesome. I have oak doll furniture ( bed, formal dresser and wash stand) my grandfather made for me over 55 years ago!
Treasure those!
Edit to add; furniture scaled to my Barbie dolls – they got lots of use!
Those are great! We have some things for our daughter made by her great-grandpa but nothing as baller as this.
Also, the gang over at r/daddit would LOVE to see this.
Very cool! Awesome grandpa!
I call it the Spruce Moose
really nice to see someone still doing this
my grandfather made some like these, altho chunkier, 50 years ago
By the looks of things, he’s obviously not allowed to play with them.
Grandpas are thee best! 💙
Very nice!
I don’t know if I’d ever actually *play* with these out of fear of breaking them.
What a talented Grandpa and such a lucky grandson. Just wonderful.
Thats some great stuff.
Woodwork at its best
Something really special!
Beautiful. After wanting to learn woodworking when I was at school (and not being allowed because I was a girl), I am finally finding the time (and the money for the tools) so that I can teach myself. I hope, one day, to be this good 😁
I like his style. A P-40 and a Ford agricultural equipment.
These are fantastic. My grandfather would make biplanes out of vellum, tooth picks, lightweight wood, and a rubber band for the propeller. They really know how to make great toys for their grandkids.
Those are the best toys ever
I had a biplane made out of wood that looked exactly like that one. Interesting.
Today we import that stuff from China. Very few people today possess the skills necessary to make quality toys by hand.
What a treasure!
