Almost got myself, my wife and best friend arrested getting a photo in front of his birthplace in St. Louis a few years ago…I think he would have approved.
He was a ‘beat’ (counter-culture) writer in the ’50s… had a couple of scenes in a critically- acclaimed 1989 movie called DRUGSTORE COWBOY. The pop/rock band ‘STEELY DAN’ took its name from the Burroughs novel NAKED LUNCH; ‘Steely Dan’ was the name given by one of the characters to a dildo…
