In their current form I absolutely agree. Where half the game is on the disc forcing you to download the rest online instead of the fully playable golden image. We need a return to game being completed and THEN going gold. And IF the player would like new features or updates they can CHOOSE to instead of making it mandatory.
What’s with up with digital games? Why do people prefer digital? You can’t trade in digital games ever. I always buy physical because I know at some point I can sell it. I don’t like the idea of buying a game and having it forever. I’ve always traded my games.
Part of the reason they are dying is publishers want it to. They don’t have to pay the production cost, and there is no resale. Each person has to buy a copy.
I just want cartridges to make a comback. The n64 or nes style ones. Nothing felt better than slamming a cartridges in mashing the power button watch magic
Physical is better imo. I like having a copy I can always have. My digital copy will only exist on my hard drive. If the wifi dies and my game isn’t currently downloaded, my game isn’t accessible. Furthermore, if my account gets hacked, banned or I forget my information, I lose all those games.
I don’t hate digital games, but I prefer physical games. Unfortunately game companies are shifting to digital only.
I used to always think physical games are better, some are, but a lot of modern games release very unfinished and the best versions are digital. In a way digital storage is also physical, i hate online only games. if you download the game on your drive, you should be able to always play it offline.

Physical versions of retro games are better than digital because back then games released in a finished state.
I prefer physical. There’s been too many instances where digital games have been discontinued, and there isn’t a refund. It’s like you never actually owned the game.
I fear that we could be heading more towards a system where it’s based on continuous payments

This is sure to be a popular post because everyone can see that it’s true. 🍿
I can’t stand more than 3min of this shit.
Of course physical is going to go and fuck them all for that .

> Why Game Ownership Deserves To Die
FTFY
“You’ll own nothing and be happy”
I prefer physical. There’s been too many instances where digital games have been discontinued, and there isn’t a refund. It’s like you never actually owned the game.

god was this an ignorant and uninformed video….
your shitty gamestop experience is not something that supports your idea that physical games deserve to die lol
