Why Hollywood Isn’t Making Great Comedy Movies Anymore

Mid budget was mostly dead until Warner and Risney are fucking up their current roster of movies.
The pendulum will.swing once again.
I want a movie like City Slickers.
It’s never going to come back. Too many people are on their phones during the movie and they miss the setup, and so when the punchline comes they’re like “that wasn’t funny”, they say this outloud, and then even if you’re paying attention and you’re laughing, you still hear that. And it introduces doubt. Was that funny? You don’t know anymore. Comedy movies only became classics because people were sure about it but now that isn’t going to happen anymore.
Because Judd Apatow and Todd Philips started doing dramas
Comedy isn’t funny anymore because people get offended about everything.
