She really was a truly lovely person.

She was ahead of her time, such a shame she went too soon.
Powerful. This is one of the tragedies of her dying before her time. Would have been fascinated to see her become a voice for the oppressed. Both in words and action.

Hattie McDaniel wasn’t allowed to attend the premier of GWTW in Atlanta because it was “white” theater.
