I never knew a popcorn button was forbidden on the packages lol that’s news to me. But it always burnt it lol. My microwave doesn’t even have a lit up display in the front lol.
I stopped using microwave popcorn. On two different times with two different microwaves, smoke and sparks would start happening after not even 30 seconds in the microwave. Not because I used the popcorn button, mind you. Boggles my mind as to why, but whatever.
Also, a fun fact. Smoke coming from a microwave smells awful, and it that scent will linger for quite some time.
I always wonder why microwaves cannot have a sort of “speed dial” sort of option. You enter the time and power needed for a few pre-set buttons like popcorn and it comes out perfect every time. Instead, we are stuck with a useless setting that we are warned against (for good reason). Wasted opportunity microwave manufacturers.
The LG in my new apartment works perfectly. That said I haven’t lived here that long so maybe it’s just perfect for that brand of popcorn’s size/weight. I don’t eat a ton of popcorn so I’m only about halfway through that one box. I’ll have to try another brand just to collect more data.
I just wish when I put my coffee cup in the microwave and press “quick 30 seconds” that my cup would not be on the far side of the microwave when it stops spinning.
My microwave has two weights when you press the popcorn. Press it once for 1.5 twice for 3.2. The popcorn bags comes in 3.0. Somehow my popcorn comes out perfect if I press the popcorn button twice for 3.2 weight.
I’m 40 seconds in and the alliteration is killing me. Get to the fucking point. I stopped caring about a popcorn button as soon as I heard my 5th P in a row.
So wild, was just scrolling through YouTube and a video about lava lamps popped up. Never saw this channel before never saw this guy thought it was great for background noise while I worked. And now here he is again. Either weird data watching going on or strange coincidence.
His whole channel is a ride, man. Been following him for years. You really see him progress in his style, quality and now he’s got his own “brand” if you want to call it that captivates you, watching hours long videos about dishwashers, car headlights or different types of light bulbs. The no-effort-november series is always fun
I haven’t purchased microwave popcorn in decades. I just use a medium pan, cover the (white not yellow) kernels with olive oil, add 1 tablespoon of Cholula and wait while gently tossing the kernels. When popped I’ll dump into a bowl and add Garlic salt and pepper.
**Best fucking popcorn ever of all time**. Nothing even comes close. Something about the vinegar and spice in the Cholula mixed with the garlic salt. Zero butter and Ive slayed all popcorn competitors in blind taste tests. You want some?
Ptfe in the packaging
I think he did a video on Microwave sensors previously and that’s when I decided to start using the popcorn button. Glad he followed up on this.
My oven has a sensor, so it always comes out well. Now why do they have a number 9?
This guy makes so many videos that have made me think “I had no idea a video on this subject could be so interesting”. He’s fantastic.

I don’t eat popcorn enough to experiment, but next time I’m gonna try the dedicated button
Perfect Popcorn Popping Perfomance Presented
13 min video about the popcorn button? Nah

My microwave have sensors and about 50 programs, but not for popcorn 😒
That button should be called the “How to make the break room smell like burnt popcorn for three days” button.

TLDR?
Everyones saying it burns the popcorn but I’ve used it my entire life and it always comes out fine
My “Potato” button is to close to my “Popcorn” button and that’s how my house smelled like a office break room for a while.

If you get raw popcorn kernels and make them in a sauce pan with oil its way better than microwave popcorn.

I’ve never seen a popcorn button on any microwave. Is that a US thing?
lol, every clock shot is set to 4:20
I read this title in Jerry Seinfeld’s voice
the only button a microwave needs is “Add Min”
I just listen to the popping. Once there is about 2 seconds between kernel pops, it’s ready. All feel, baby.
I just wish when I put my coffee cup in the microwave and press “quick 30 seconds” that my cup would not be on the far side of the microwave when it stops spinning.

It works perfectly for me every single time. Going to still use it.
I used the popcorn button and the popcorn I “made” turned into a black, flaming puck and filled our apartment with oily black smoke.
I just hit the popcorn button and wait until it beeps, perfect popcorn every time. I use Jolly Time, of course, so I’m allowed to use the button.
I’m 40 seconds in and the alliteration is killing me. Get to the fucking point. I stopped caring about a popcorn button as soon as I heard my 5th P in a row.
Dunno, the popcorn button on my microwave works freakishly well.
I suspect it has a microphone or something in it to listen for pops and X seconds no pops means it’s done.
Shoulda been a 2 minute video.
Anyone else notice all the microwaves time set at 4:20 😂😂

What? A sub-40-minute video on something so complex?
Someone should check in on him.
Who is this?

Ha ha this YouTuber would be good without the gamer mannerisms and and cringe humor ha
What’s the criteria of postings here?
I use the popcorn button, but I monitor it so I can stop it if it stops popping but the microwave still has time left on it.
ITT: People who haven’t watched the video need to comment on the thread about this video
Didn’t watch but it’s probably something to do with the strength of the microwave?
My popcorn button does it just right.
Microwave popcorn has been associated with lung cancer.
I don’t care enough for a thirteen minute video, anyone have a tldr?
