Outer Wilds for sure
thats an impossible question, but for people who love bite size games with a paramount challenge, nothing appeals further than Devil Daggers.
Have fun in your hyperfocus euphoria when you pass 0.02 seconds from your best score B)
Journey. Definitely journey.
Katana Zero, Hades, and Hollow Knight.
Stardew valley, great game with super wide appeal

Subnautica. Only indie game that truly blew me away like the best AAA games did
Kingdom: Two Crowns
I personally would say Hotline Miami. For me it’s the most influential indie game due to its soundtrack and meta commentary for games.
Outer wilds
If I had to pick only 1, Terraria
Cannot recommend FTL enough.
Cave Story
Just love the atmosphere, the story is captivating and its fun to play.
Rimworld.
Absolutely amazing game with incredible systems, designed to make an interesting and exciting story. If you learn what the settings mean, you could turn it into a peaceful city builder, or a brutal test of strategy, or anything you want really!
Hades
The Stanley Parable
All Supergiant games
What remains of Edith finch was great in my opinion
Hades, it’s one of the few games that I have finished and unlocked all the achievements.
Totally worth it.
Thomas Was Alone
Papers Please, Abzu, Journey and Celeste
There’s a lot. Indie studios do a great job. My favorites include: Hollow Knight, Spelunky, The Banner Saga Trilogy, Dead Cells, Into the Breach, Slay the Spire, Bastion, Hades, Transistor, Divinity Original Sin and Divinity Original Sin 2
Jazzpunk. Anyone who’s played it will know why.
I don’t know much indie games, but I heavily recommend Papers Please. It’s not a must but it’s very fun
Return of the Obra Dinn.
I don’t think it’s necessarily the BEST indie game I’ve played, and not one everyone would play to completion, but I struggle to think of any game similar to it. It just oozes personality.
Spiritfarer is one that comes to mind that I don’t see mentioned much!

Inscryption, really good escape room horror card game with a really good story

It’s one of my favorite games of all time. Physics based roguelike platformer that allows you to customize wands and potions. Literally every pixel on screen has its own physics and will react to explosions and elements. It’s very well done and fun to play.
