There’s an old, **OLD** Elder in my Tribe who told me some funny stories about these kinds of pictures. Super long story short, and sorry if this ruins it for some of yall but >!most of the pictures you see like this were “staged” in every sense of the word. The photographer would bring their own props that had the stereotypical Native American look, give it to people (who sometimes weren’t even associated with the Tribe in question), and then just use the photo to make postcards to tell to tourists.!<
