My only wish is that when they inevitably remake it, they don’t poison it with the Battlefield 4 formula that every BF was based on. BC2 and BF3 had an insanely different design than Bf2/4/1/5/2042.
Please don’t scare me like this. I need to check if the PC servers work still.
You just reminded me of Battlefield 2: Modern Combat, where you could hotswap in single player. Just looked and it listed as abandonware let’s fucking goooo!

Mastering the AT-4, going explosive dmg+ and OHK all the chopper jocks all the way across the map was *chefs kiss*
God I miss it. If it helps, a bunch of the devs for BC2 and just dice in general went on to make their own studio. They just released their game The Finals and you can kind of see their touch in the game with the level destruction and reloading animations (1887 *chefs kiss*)

Last time i checked (4-5 years ago) I had somewhere in the range of 6 months worth of play time. literally spent half a year of my life with this game. need to build a pc and go back. thanks for the walk down memory lane OP
Dang. Just unlocked old memories. Honestly instead of making a new BF flop like 2042, can they just remaster BC2 for new consoles?
Anything that needs a server connection to play will suffer this fate. I even bought an old single player game that required an account, I created it and it said server not found after forcing me to log in. Luckily after the server wasn’t found it let me proceed offline.

Bad Company 2 was fantastic, played the hell out of it on PC and it was probably the last multiplayer game like this that I really enjoyed n’ got into. Later ones just didn’t do it for me.
Ah yes, seems like I can finally give the campaign a shot.
