It’s out the 25th on Disney+ in the UK.
Ok for the first few seconds I thought it’s a scripted comedy series where they are playing themselves and the premise will be them trying to turn around a small football club they bought, and I thought at any second there’s going to be a big 180 twist, record scratch, and tone shift, reveal of what the show is actually going to be…….but then the trailer just kept going and going and there were some really expensive FC shots which is when I realised that they actually bought a football club to make this TV show. It’s a Documentary.
Not 10 minutes ago told a co-worker I needed to check to see if this was out yet (saw McElhenney post something about the team) because I thought I missed it. Hope it’s as good as I want it to be.
This looks great.
More serious than I was expecting but that makes sense because it’s real people’s lives

That Deadpool question made me think of this new title: *Dead Lasso*.
This looks very up my alley, love what FX has been doing
Very interested in this. I honestly thought when they bought the club it would just be a gimmick and they wouldn’t really care too much but they’ve really been investing in the club, getting them sponsorships and players they wouldn’t normally be able to attain and turning up for matches regularly and hiring the right sort of people you want to be running a club behind the scenes.
It’s a shame they didn’t get promoted this year but there is always next year.
Teds Lasso
Wrexham is a city, Wrexham is a city naa na naa na
Maybe they are genuine about wanting to be a part of a football team and grow something.
However, if they wanted to find a relatively small team to buy, so that they could use their star power to advertise it, and raise its profile, and possibly get funding for a new stadium, so that they could entice a rich man into buying the team at an overinflated value, and they make off with a huge profit by flipping a team over the course of a decade; this is what they would be doing, as well.
So anyways…I started blasting
wow this looks super interesting
They really should look at Stockport County and how they turned their fortunes around on returning to the league without American celebs helping out.
Stockport County beaten them to the promotion on that “important” day. So it’ll make me wonder if they’ll paint County as Wrexham’s antagonist in their story.
