We really need a new H.A.W.X. (or similar) game, now that MS Flight Sim has set new standards. It’s a shame that the older ones can’t even be bought anymore (if you already owned them, they can be downloaded though)

Thinking about Ubisofts new “all star” – attempt (another game featuring many of their Tom Clancy & co. characters after the mobile game failed) brought me back to H.A.W.X. 1 & 2 since they basically were one of the first “Cross over” games of Ubisoft since during the campaign you sometimes support Ghost Recon (or Rainbow?) Teams on the ground.
This would be the kind of cross-over game I would wish for instead of a pure shooter-like game featuring various characters. A story driven game like Division 1 & 2, featuring multiple perspectives
I remember being disappointed with these games (both 1 and 2). They were knock-offs of Ace Combat to me.
DCS World is quite fun. And you have other toys apart from planes there.
I mean the gold standard of the arcade-style flight sims is Ace Combat.
And while the dozen or so titles are fractured across a wide variety of platforms you can play all of them one way or the other.
What we really need is Ace Combat 8 and maybe Project Wingman II (with double the budget).
Project Wingman was a worthy entry. Vector Thrust was passable.
I remember enjoying HAWX 1 but not 2. Don’t remember why.
Is there any way to get them on pc at all. I remeber it being my first introduction to that type of game.
Why would you want to play HAWX when both Ace Combat and Project Wingman exist?
Damn guess you’ll have to set sail for the high seas if you want to play it!
