I was on a train platform in Osaka. It was the end of autumn. Just starting to get cold. For those of you who don’t know, Japanese people tend to dress for the season, not the weather, so everyone was bundled up like little the bitter winds on Narnia had escaped the wardrobe. It was maybe 16°C. Not too cold at all. In any case, there I was, standing there in my everyday trousers and pants watching the Michelin people waddle past in a little wonder when a group of Canadians walked past in shorts and singlets. Looked like a sports team. The juxtaposition was absolutely hilarious.
Elementary school gym teacher. It did not matter the weather, how much snow was on the ground, nothing, he’d always wear gyms shorts and tennis shoes. Gym teachers are a strange breed.
I was in Utah at the beginning of this year for snowboarding and we needed some people to go get some water and snacks. There was a convenience store across a parking lot and while my friends were all bundled up, i walked over in a hoodie, shorts, and sandals over the parking lot covered with a couple inches of snow. It was honestly not too bad after the first minute or so. I also once helped a family put on snow chains after seeing them struggle to get over a ramp in a blizzard in mostly the same attire, but had shoes on that time.
My senior year of High School in So. Cal., it was November and everyone was wearing long sleeves and jackets except the kid who just moved here from Detroit… He was in shorts & a tank top with sweat pouring off him.
That’s me. Filled my wife’s car the other morning and shorts and my house slippers when it was about 20°F. My wife posted about it in her social media, and one of her relatives replied that I’m crazy for going out improperly dressed when it’s that cold. I replied that I find shorts are okay down to about zero, so long as I’m active, and that I’m usually fine to about -15°F when I have my good wool socks on.
The amount of people who constantly ask “aren’t you cold!” whether at work or out in public was ridiculous. Like, just leave me be, I don’t go around asking anyone else about their clothing choices, including that giy wearing a patchwork neon sweater with camo pants, I’ll wince but not say anything.
I’m not sorry I’m always warm… on the other side, I don’t hear any complaints come cuddle time.
Hey that’s me!!!!
Of course I know him. He is me.

It depends. 35F at the beginning of winter is cold. 35F at the end of winter is short weather. It’s all perspective.
I see that guy all over. He’s got his hands jammed in his pockets and his body is all scrunched up and shivering, but he’s “not cold”.

Remove the snowflakes and the comic is Phoenix hits 50F

Canadian or Scot?
Hey that’s me, but I do wear a hoodie with shorts in the winter time.
As a skinny guy, I’ve always been a little jealous of people who’s bodies don’t just shut down when it goes below 20f.
I’m at person….. I’m still in a spring jacket when everyone is bundled up
They would both be warm like him if they put their damn pants on! Like, of course youre cold, it’s snowing and you’re out with your bits exposed.
Bit he is the only one wearing pants/shorts!the others don’t have pants at all.
Yeah in my case my oldest son, kid is hardly ever cold. Freezing or not. He’s the kid that goes out in -10°c in shorts and a t-shirt 😅
lol, reading this while smoking a cigarette outside, wearing a short, and it’s snowing
Statistically, what percentage of these people are overweight? Genuinely curious as to how BMI factors into this.
Atleast he’s waring shorts the other 2 are naked on the bottom half lol
I am that person. My dad even more than me. He’ll shovel snow in shorts
Was just in Japan.
Do silk stockings help at all?
Most people were dressed in coats, pants, some had scarves, the number of women in skirts and bare legs was still very noticeable.
chilly little bitches gonna sit and whine

Not feeling targeted at all
You looking for me?
I feel attacked.

And the people that wear shorts with a sweater. Like why?! That should be a fashion ticket.
It’s just the guy from the north of Norway, where they consider to close a window when the temperature drops below -30°c
Hell thats how it is when it hits 50-60f in Florida
Ah now I’ve finished my shift I can finally remove this uncomfortably warm postman’s jacket
Unfortunately, this person is my son.
Yeah except he’s usually fat.

My uncle Mike.
A northerner in Florida
Haha, my ex. We were walking through Glasgow with a couple of Scottish friends; it was dark, cold and raining.
My fella was as usual wearing a thin teeshirt, no jacket, while the rest of us were wearing more weather appropriate clothing.
My Scottish pal points at my bloke and says, “Spot the man from Newcastle.”

I imagine they get a close to suffering a heatstroke at 70F degrees?
Canadians in February.
I’m that guy. Believe it or not it’s mainly a mental thing.
to be fair if the first two were wearing shorts or pants they might feel a bit warmer.
Yeah… its me. I walked my dog all week in 30-40 ° weather in shorts and a hoodie
