It’s pretty grim humor, but there are Vietnam vets out there who sport stuff with this patch because they are still being affected by it. If they use it for humor as a coping mechanism then it is what it is.

It’s morbid humor, and it’s only for Vietnam vets, like the uniform is only for soldiers. Wearing this patch as a non viet vet is a classification for stolen valor.
