Video of apparent meteor in Northern California tonight. Allegedly hit a house killing a dog. No news story yet
Anyone else just see this crazy flash light up the sky? Captured by my dashcam in El Dorado Hills, CA. pic.twitter.com/4BlzOB5ISD

Meteors by definition do not hit anything on the surface.
This Penn Valley California meteor struck a home near Englebright Lake (Nevada Count Calif.) last night Fri/Sat Nov 4th/5th 2022, burning it down and killing one of two pet dogs. The residents struggled to save both dogs during the ensuing fire but were only able to save the one. Currently no people are reported killed or injured in this event. This event followed reports from neighboring counties (Shasta, El Dorado, etc) of a massive fireball over the Northern California sky.
