I just finished rewatching this the other day. I remember loving it as it aired but wow was it much funnier and better then I even remember. Walton Goggins absolutely steals the show (as usual, Shane Vendrell, Boyd Crowder, etc). I wish more shows would utilize the two season format like Danny and company did with this show, I thought it kept everything so tight. If you like Righteous Gemstones or Eastbound and Down and haven’t given this show a try, I can’t recommend it enough.

The episode where they spill acid on themselves at the football game is my fave.
Very underrated and underseen show. HBO has always seen something in Danny McBride the rest of the world seems to not see. This show shines a little light on what makes him work….

Danny McBride is still a little underrated to me. He’s been the most consistent comedic actor/writer of the last decade in my opinion.
I feel you! It’s like finding a hidden treasure, but instead of gold, it’s laughter and inappropriate humor.

This show is a masterclass in comedy. The cast is amazing. McBride and Goggins play off of each other so fucking well. They are so petty for something so small. David Gordon Green doesn’t necessarily know horror, but I can definitely get behind his comedy work.
The new principals two kids stole the show for me. They had me rolling constantly.
Seriously one of my favorite shows of all time.
