Nice work!
Amazing picture, stunning restoration, insane boots!
You didn’t try. You nailed it bruh.
Beautiful picture!
This was probably taken between the world wars and during the depression. You can almost hear them joking about using the rifle to get some ducks or rabbits for dinner.
Amazing!
You took it from a photo to an oil painting, that’s crazy
And this is the gun your great grand pappy used to shoot Johnny rebel.
Great photo, horrible trigger discipline
“Alright Billy, you know what to do.”
“My name isn’t Billy, Grandpa and I’m not gonna shoot you!”
“Goddang it Billy!”
Nice gun but have you ever been in a Turkish prison, Billy?
good! but the blue near the eyes looks like eye shadow…
Colorizing old photos like this really brings the subjects to life and makes them seem more relatable rather than an impersonal part of history.
How do people know what colour things are supposed to be be?
What a beautiful photo. Sad those days are so behind us. Were living in a whole new world.
That’s funny because I copied the same photo and boosted the contrast. You took it all the way.
Came out great.
Wow can you restore one of mine
That’s the age difference from my mother and my daughter crazy.
Nice job!
(Did he shoot his eye out, kid?)
You mean to tell me that this guy is 59 in this pic? Wild
Now we can see the family resemblance.
looks awesome – I ‘d love to see the motion blur removed
Amazing
Nice work
Awesome. Great eye for color and tonality. You’re an artist for sure!
Amazing
What does restoring mean? Excuse my ignorance. Did you guess what colors to use or is there a method to determine the colors of the original?
This is beautiful on several levels. Fantastic work
How do you determine the colors? Do you make a guess or is there something in the original that gives you a cue?
Very well done sir
Great work OP. Mind if I ask what did you use to do such great work? I have band thinking of doing some restorations after the passing of my father recently.
