  • From what I’ve read, Lupino actually won a lot of respect from her crews, because she was willing to make the productions a true team effort (for example, allowing ideas to be shared on shooting scenes, etc.). This made her very different from some of the other big directors of that era, who were notorious tyrants on their sets.
