This guy has to get into sports broadcasting. I’d listen to him do play-by-play any day.
Imagine listening to a voicemail left by your coworker in public only to hear about 4 old ladies beating the crap out of a dude
Belongs to r/truckers
This dude needs a dash cam cuz I really need some visuals to go along with his play by play.
“Anyhoo, tell jerry I got held up.”
Little Bitty Mother goose 🪿
This thing is about 20 years old or so, I remember the local radio station had him on to talk about it.
Seemed like it genuinely did happen, IIRC there was a police report filed that corroborated the voicemail.
This is the funniest voicemail of the Internet and I love listening to it every time. As much as I’d love to have seen it there’s something great about imagining it yourself.
Wheres the version of the animation as it plays out? Way better
The animated version https://youtu.be/UGCnZdrh7qA?si=dhB8lNuSpupGURxK
I’m so happy to hear this again! I heard this a long time ago on a local radio station and could never find it back. Some comments say it’s fake – I did’nt think it was, either way I love it. Made my day.
r/contagiouslaughter
He described it really well, had a pretty good visual 🤣🤣🤣
Got some Champ Kind energy going on there .. Whammy!! WHAAAAAAMMMMY!
I can’t not listen to this every time I see it. It never fails to make me smile and chuckle
I would love to believe this was real but I’ve been around since before the beginning of voice mail and I’ve never once encountered a voice mail system that let you leave messages longer than two minutes. But if they do everything bigger in Texas then I suppose their voice mails were too.
Fake or not this is a classic, it also reminds me of [this one.](https://youtu.be/cIVfrBFc5og)
Sort of unrelated but there is a YouTuber named dank pods who reviews audio equipment and old mp3 players and whenever he tests their in built microphones he will make a recording that is very similar to this one, just hilarious random nonsense. He’s extremely entertaining even if you aren’t into audio or mp3 players (I’m not), highly recommend checking him out.
I hope this was played in a courtroom
Someone needs to upload this text to an AI generator and it’ll create an animation of this!
This needs an animated cartoon to go with it.
if anyone is curious, his name is Michael Childs, of Arlington, Texas . the incident happened in 2004 and was first posted in 2005.

UNDETERMINED
Since this clip surfaced on the Internet in early 2005, debate has ensued about whether the account given above is an accurate explanation of the origins of this audio clip, and whether the traffic incident described actually took place. (Skeptics have questioned facets such as whether the narrator would not only have been able to tell at a distance that the book one of the assaulting women was carrying was a Bible, but to identify the specific version of Bible — and why the narrator would think to note that detail in his description.) A inquiry posed to the corporate offices of Jack in the Box (the restaurant chain most frequently mentioned in circulated versions of this recording) produced the following response:
Thank you for your inquiry. The message that has been in circulation is an actual voicemail message. The incident occurred 5-6 years ago in Texas. I’m not sure how the recording got outside the company or if the employee still works for Jack in the Box, but the recording periodically resurfaces on the radio and the internet.
Even if this explanation is accurate (i.e., the clip originated as a message left on a Jack in the Box employee’s voicemail), it doesn’t preclude the possibility that the accident described never took place, and the recording was just a prank one employee pulled on a co-worker.
Since this clip surfaced on the Internet in early 2005, several radio programs have aired interviews with persons claiming to have some involvement with this audio clip. On 4 February 2005, the nationally syndicated Coast to Coast AM show put through a caller who maintained he was the person who had been beaten by the women as described in the purported voicemail message. In late February, several stations broadcast
interviews with a man named Michael Childs, who said that he was the one who left the voicemail message, that the clip was genuine, and that the accident described had taken place about six years earlier in Athens, Texas, while he was working as a construction manager for Jack in the Box. Although Mr. Childs’ voice certainly sounded very much like the one in the recording, without additional evidence we still can’t rule out the possibility that this clip was a prank rather than a live description of real events.

I feel like we were all there

4 foot nothing hahaha
Pretty sure this is from the 90s. I remember downloading it off of lime wire.
I was expecting this voicemail and wasn’t disappointed. An oldie but a goodie.
Haha
Bro how how close was he to be able to see the exact Bible version?!?
Never have I wanted to be some random dudes friend so bad.
Pov you miss one day at school
I’m pretty sure this is at least 20, maybe 30 years old. Art Bell used to play it on his radio show, Coast to Coast AM.
I want to see the video version of this…
Holy shit. I’m crying. This was absolutely hysterical.
/r/contagiouslaughter
I was laughing as hard as he was!!! 😂😂😂
That’s the end of my scrolling for today. It won’t get better than that.
Thank you !
I like how he immediately knew the guy hit a car with 4 old women inside.
Very real 🙂
Wish I was there
“Winduh”
As funny as his laugh is that’s still battery…
Now, if I got a call like this, then dropped a warranty offer at the end… I wouldn’t be mad at all.
Heard this many years ago and I’m still sitting here laughing so hard im cryn!! Tooo funny.
video would be been gold, missed opportunity is all I’m saying.
Wrong number lol
This could be a whole family guy cut scene
Hi, I’ve added some noise reduction and background music. Thank you. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yZD_G3C5Vr8u](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yZD_G3C5Vr8u).
I can’t ever remember a time when voicemail allowed you to record a message this long.
So while this is likely a skit someone did its still fucking funny.
Would have been even funnier if it was the wrong number too
