The DS had the second best game library, the Snes being the first.
Phantom Hourglass, Ninja Gaiden, fricking Rhythm Heaven, Sonic Rush, Mario Kart, Metroid Prime Hunters, Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan 2 (Elite Beat Agent here in the ocident which is severely underwhelming compared to the japanese version which is pure hype), Taiko no Tatsujin, Jump Ultimate Stars (One of the most creative fighting games ever made)….man this handheld was a blast.
Bought one just for Mario Kart and Super Mario bros. Ended up with a Pokemon game and two other games in the end too. Not sure where I got mine and which games I still have but had good times with it.
So I live in an area where a DuPont plant is right on the river. A group came in and took blood to test for C8 and gave anyone who did $400. I used part of mine for this bad boy and Nintendogs
I knew a LOT of kids with a DS when I was younger, but oddly nobody with a fat model, always the Lite or DSi. Although tbf at this time the DS was already pretty much dead in the sense that it wasn’t getting games at that point.
Did anyone ever use Pictochat with someone? Or were you, like me, just doodlin’ by yourself π€£
The hinges on the OG DS were so weak, I had two separate ones break, and the second one I was particularly careful with.
I didn’t have that one, but the next generation, but I always wanted it.
Hell yeah!!
Oh man! The memories lol π₯ππΎππΎππΎ

I still have one of these. Still works as far as I know
I still remember that awesome Metroid demo that got packed in with the launch bundles

The best DS version imo, due to the variable backlight controls button and backwards compatibility. They all went downhill from here.
Still have mine!
Ds, nostalgic. Fuck I’m old
Good times.
forgot how thick the og DS was.

This thing had hands down the best DPad ever. It might’ve not been pretty and the stylus placement was poop but damn was it comfortable.
