Luongo should have had that I mean he would have been watching for the rebound off the boards anyway, but I could argue that if the puck had hit the boards instead of the ref, its deflection would have been different. So… dunno. Im not a Blues or a Panthers fan so. shrug.

Why wouldn’t they count the goal? The refs are (in most sports) considered part of the field/court/ice.
Was he alright? An impact like that could do some serious damage.

It makes sense that you can’t score by bouncing a shot off a referee. I imagine the teams’ insurance premiums would go up quite a bit if that were the case.
