My parents split up when I was young and they weren’t around much during my childhood, I only moved with my dad at around 15 years old, and he was never around even then. Fast forward to my 31st birthday last year, my mom got me a fortnite themed birthday cake and some other stuff like that. I couldn’t even hate. It made me cry, it was literally one of the first birthdays spent with her and that side of the family.
