I picked up two, along with other items in the lot for about 20.00 Canadian.
I sold the two seeds at another auction for about 700.00 Canadian

Looks more like the giant ONLY fan palm.
This example has been polished and had the husk removed. The husk of course is where you’d expect it to be.
Certain examples, such as ones which have been made into bottle holders with silver rims from the late 1800’s, early 1900’s, can be upward of £2-£3k. They’re lovely decorative things, mounted on a stand they’re always taking points.
Source: am an antique dealer who’s had a number of these.
Edit: as the pic doesn’t really show, coco de mer’s can be between 30-50cm tall (12-16 inches).

Calm down giant palm seed.
Weird explorer did a 5 part series on the Coco de mer. It has a fascinating history. Once consider mythical or otherworldly because people kept finding them washing up on beaches but nobody knew where they grew for a long time.
They are currently protected and I don’t think you can buy them at least not legally.
