What’s with all the “third world country person doesn’t know what x is” posts today? He doesn’t know what thermometer is because he hasn’t used one. What’s funny? Lack of access? Lack of sickness?
Maybe he is used to using thermometers on his underarms. Never in my life have I seen anyone put a thermometer on their mouth outside TV, in my country everyone uses it on the underarm and the temperature “standard” is around 36.5C.
at least half of us is the guy in the left at the end opening our mouth for the guy… why do humans think we can telepathically encourage someone to mimic us, i need to know the brain chemistry/behavior for this
This happened with my son, he just couldn’t put it under his tongue when he was 5 or 6. I even showed him how and he still kept putting his tongue on the roof of his mouth or pushing it put of his mouth immediatly, it was straight insanity trying to explain this to him.
Almost 3 years ago, I was in hospital and when I had a temperature test, a similar model was used under my armpit. Also the way she kept on moving the thermometer coupled with what looks like conflicting instructions, I think the officers were being jerks!!
I remember as a kid, thermometers were glass. Before they stick it in my *cough cough* moon cave, the nurse would tell me to relax for smoother entry and incase it breaks inside 😳
