For me the claptraps secret stash mission in borderlands 2 takes the cake!
Played this mission so many times. Laying in that field with the enemy walking right towards you is still tense to this day
I hated that firefight at the wheel though.
Objective: Survive
Amazing mission. Probably my favourite in the franchise
ARE YOU DAFT?!?!
One of my all time favourite games too, wish I could go back to that period in my life.
The music on this level fits it to perfection as well!
Probably the most memorable mission in a COD campaign. No Russian is up there but not for brilliant game design, rather how shocking it was.
I remember when I looked at the wrong tower, and the other guy goes “No, the other one”. I was kind of in awe when that happened the first time.
I still remember hiding in the tall grass as the soldiers passed by so close, it’s a memory I can FEEL even today.
#FIFTY THOUSAND PEOPLE USED TO LIVE HERE….
I still shope there will be a call of duty: ghillie
Whats the game?
The times when i played this as new game in 2007 were amazing .. the graphics jump from old CoDs was insane, can’t believe it will be already 15 years soon jeez
Probably the most fun mission/level I’ve done in any game ever. Everything about it was just perfect.
Holding the fairground waiting on extraction was nail biting, butt pouting, clammy hands but fun 😄
I loved the part where a helicopter comes and if you destroy it macmillan goes like “alright showoff“
This mission was the first game play I remember watching. I was completely blown away when the other sniper stood up at the beginning…Such a great campaign in total!
Fantastic mission.
But don’t sleep on World at War’s campaign, it’s just as good, and much darker. It has it’s own fantastic stealth/sniping mission called Vendetta
”50,000 People used to live here… now it’s a Ghost Town…”
Back when CoD campaigns were good. Or just back when CoD GAMES were good in general.
Was like 13 or 14 playing this. (I wasn’t the squeaker in the lobby though, had no mic xd) and man i held my breath during the whole mission. The escape was the hardest thing in the world
Mannnn you got me downloading it again. This is one of my favorite video game missions of all time.
# “The word ‘stealth’ doesn’t mean anything to you, does it?”
Through out game history there’s a handful of missions that are so memorable. This one, Silent Cartographer and a few others are just absolutely perfect.
I remember getting Sniper: Ghost Warrior hoping it would be just as good….it was not
what an absolute time to live through when these games were coming out
Those dogs were scary tho
The craziest part for me is just the fact that this game first dropped in 2007. Like, this is where gaming was in 2007. It’s mind blowing.
An amazing level, loved the interview where they talked about making it. [https://www.pcgamer.com/from-all-ghillied-up-to-no-russian-the-making-of-call-of-dutys-most-famous-levels/](https://www.pcgamer.com/from-all-ghillied-up-to-no-russian-the-making-of-call-of-dutys-most-famous-levels/)

If link not allowed, nuke it.
Take ’em out, or move on. It’s your call.
Walking through the cafeteria, looking out over desolate Pripyat. Dust silently glitters in the dim, clouded sun. Papers, books, toys scattered about, left where they lay so many years ago.
“50,000 people used to live here. Now it’s a ghost town.”
Really haunting. CoD in that era really had a way of letting things go slow when it wanted to.
Then the whole Franchise went ☄️☄️☄️
I always hate posts like this that don’t even say what game it is
YOU SIR/MA’AM
YOU JUST FOUND THE GAME OF A LOST CORE MEMORY I’VE HAD SINCE YEARS AGO!
holy hell! for such a long time i kept remembering this scene and mission and i could never remember the name of the game! i knew it had to be a call of duty since i played pretty much all of them. but this part was always in my mind :

the stress and the whole situation it was the best experience i had in a game so young! thankyou for helping me find one of my 3 long lost games!
i only need to find an abandonware rts, and another call of duty like game and i will be forever happy!

honestly thankyou so much!!
Is this CoD 4: modern warfare, in the mission when you need to crawl a long time with some npc and a troop of soldiers and tanks pass by you and IF YOU CRAWL ON THE WRONG SIDE OF THE NPC YOU JUST DIE?
