He’s the only late night guy i’ve ever met and it was a random NY kinda moment that resulted in a brief conversation about a mutual acquaintance. He’s very tall and is sage a word? Yeah a sage , non spice version.
I still remember when Conan got ousted for Leno and people were outraged, and he made a tearful plea for fans to no be cynical, that he hated cynicism more than anything.
This really stuck with me as an example of grace when faced with a super shitty situation.
Goes to show how dumb people are. That show in it’s first several years was HILARIOUS during those bad ratings days. I remember Conan had the season 1 finale in a meat locker.
Like, there was just a meat locker out on the stage. He walked out during his monologue, opened the door, and it shut behind him locking him within. Then Andy came out looking for Conan and he gets stuck in there. One by one the guests come out onto the set and get trapped inside the meatlocker. The whole show happened inside of it.
The next year, the season finale comes around and guess what? A meatlocker on the set. They did the whole bit again. Loved it back then when they did whatever the hell they wanted.
Bottom line is The context of this statement in question is not that there won’t be another original or new version of the on screen character.
The core of this statement and its meaning are not just “there will never be another Conan O’Brien” but there was never a Conan O’Brien. 🐇🥄
Sorry Conan, I was always switched to Craig Ferguson. It’s nice you get to make little videos about yourself, it’s good to get yourself out there. Maybe things will work out.
Thank you for this wonderful review on Conan and how he is so unique. I loved watching the entire show casing of his self deprecating style, wit, kindness and Andy was magic. The contrast between Conan and other late night hosts is jarring. Conan shines above them all. I also love his podcast and his travels around the world.
This is the most accurate comparison of all the talk show hosts. I never enjoyed Carson, Leno, Kimmel. They’re just not creative or funny. Only Letterman in the 80s-90s and Conan (anytime) were ever interesting and funny.
Idk a 2nd Conan O’Brien hitting the scene doing Conan style bits after OG Conan dies, only for us to find out they are a hired imposter trained by and paid by Conan O’Brien before his death, and everyone just goes with it and he just keeps being Conan, would be the most Conan O’Brien bit ever.
The “Old Guard” of late night hosts were politically neutral. They made jokes about anyone/everyone, and all of them were edgy but not mean.
Contrast that with the current roster of hosts, and its obvious they are using their platform for pure political sophistry and the jokes are meanspirited, cruel, and insular. They are seemingly going out of their way to ensure that anyone who isnt issue-by-issue in lock-step with their world view, isnt welcome to tune in.
I love Conan. He’s my favorite host. However Stephen Colbert shares the same traits in kindness, smartness and goofiness. Colbert deserves as much praise as Conan does.
Unpopular Opinion: He’s sooo much better now on his podcast. Something about the long form, kind of meandering style really allows for some fantastic moments.
According to this, statistically there are 8.1 Conans living right now.

Based on the title format I was hoping this would be another Emplemon “there will never ever be another” video.
Narration seemed odd. Didn’t realise Conan’s wife had such a deep voice. Must be a heavy smoker.
RIP Conan
His tour of the Google AR Labs was hilarious.
Don’t worry – he’s still alive.
. . . for now.
Good.
Do yourself a favor and go down the Conan and Timothy Olyphant youtube rabbit hole.
Pretty sure Carson and Leno were also assholes off camera.
Conan is the goat

i dont want to be a jerk but good? i want something new and unexplained like he is. New is good
One in a billion means there is, by average, 8 more just like Conan on planet earth.
I went to a Conan taping in 1997 and the musical guest was Marcy Playground.
It was the Gen X version of seeing the Beatles on Ed Sullivan in 1964, except the complete opposite.

He die or something?
