Waiting for the Legends of Tomorrow to pop in to take Mia back to the future.
I am whelmed.
After 15 seasons of Supernatural I feel like we had enough glimpses into the past to see the younger John and Mary enough and well…this was just a weird decision to throw so much money into. Of all the ways they could have expanded on the Supernatural universe, this was the best they had? I wonder how many seasons they’re going to try and squeeze out of this.
The only way this series works is if it’s out of continuity or the differences are intentional.
John simply shouldn’t know this stuff. Mary’s hunting life was completely unknown to John which is why it was a big deal that she was a hunter in a way very similar to Dean.
Like this would sense as a prequel of the show hadn’t already set up the timeline to explain why none of this works.

So again either they don’t give or damn or it’s intentional and will be addressed in the show. Not like Time Travel isn’t a thing.

That said, I really feel a John is Sam and Mary is Dean vibe from these two actors.
The other young John actor was very much following a young JDM vibe.
They could have made a spin-off on literally any other character than these two.
Of all the interesting characters they could have made a spin-off on, why these two? Just.. Why?
