Why did they divided single season into 3 long parts?

This is super bittersweet for me. I watched this show from the beginning with my aunt, through the bad times and good. But it was nice bonding time where we talked and watched.
But she passed away a few months ago. It’s gonna be fucking rough to watch this. I didn’t think I’d be having such an emotional time with the walking dead at this point lol

I know it’s cool to hate this show, but i admire the writers who managed to reinvent it and bring energy to it again, this past 3 seasons have been great and a big improvement from seasons 7 and 8
Since Daryl and Carol are getting a spinoff after this show ends, I bet the series ends with everyone but them dying.
I am excited for The Commonwealth arc and for more of Maggie’s relationships with Negan.

I mock fans who still watch Grey’s Anatomy (after 18 seasons!!!) and here I am looking forward to TWD finale. I stuck through the really shitty seasons, silly villains, and plot armor, but I somehow I am enthralled by the survival of the fittest and zombie genre.
