This scene reminds me of Night of the Living Dead 1990s when Barbara is shooting the one zombie in the door saying, “Is he dead? Is he dead? Is dead?” Then when someone says you’re losing it, she finishes off the zombie with a headshot and says, “You think so?”
It just reminds me of Shane’s “Why’s he still comin’?” along with his, “Yeah, that is enough.”
I remember watching something on AMC after this episode had aired, before I had ever even watched The Walking Dead, and they kept spamming this commercial which was just that slow shot of Sophia being a walker. Pretty much made 90% of Season 2 entirely anticlimactic for me when I started the show later on because the entire Sophia search arc was already spoiled by AMC for some reason
It’s incredibly noticable how much better quality this is than the later seasons. This scene is actually great quality tv. This show nosedived in quality so hard, it’s actually kind of sad. This show had so much potential. This scene brings me back to the days when people held this show in such high regard
All those shots and not one hole in the barn door. That’s some crack marksmanship. I also appreciate it when they warn the zombies with a couple shots to the torso first.
While I hate the show now, I have to admit the first few seasons, specifically before Negan, were great. Even tho not perfect in every way, they were a fun watch.
It was one of the shows that you talked about with many people. Me specifically with my friends, roommates, sister. And we had all these fun discussions and theories.
And I still think TWD had many good scenes like this one, it’s just that later on everything started to get repetitive. And not to mention characters were introduced just to become fodder while main ones kept going on and on and on, even tho it would’ve been time to get rid of some.
First two seasons of this show were great. Then it fell apart like a Chinese dishwasher
Aw man what about sophia!?

Breanthol in his “rub the back of my head” acting days.

You cut off the ending! 😠
Iconic scene.
Such a classic show the first few seasons.
Probably my favorite example of a slow burn payoff done perfectly
Shane is the best villian of allll timeeeeee bruh
I always loved the whole “why is it still coming” part of this scene. Shane was unhinged, but he probably saved Hershels family with this display.
they cut the ending

This crazy mother fucker. 😅
Shane was always the best part of The Walking Dead. People hate on season 2 but it actually was one of the better seasons.

Best moments of the farm episodes because you knew they were finally leave that boring shit hole. Then the show got even worse.
