His show was very genuine. Very real. I first saw him in some movie doing a bit as a hairdresser who tries to get a favour from Sean Connery on the phone by claiming to have fixed his toupe in situ once on a golf course. Hilarious. On his Late Late Show he had a running gag about trying to get the Late Show slot which you always felt was half true, lol.

Television needs him back. He was on for a bit during COVID with a decent game show (The Hustler) but we need more…
I don’t know… I think his replacement, James Corden, is doing a far superior job.
