This looks to be backed with a massive budget and the trailer makes it clear they are going for a faithful adaptation of what was a pretty good action/thriller book!
Let me say a few things. Amazon now has a very interesting list of originals, many with a well-established audience, and new shows with the potential to be popular, long-running.
Action: Jack Ryan, Reacher, The Terminal List and Mr. & Mrs. Smith.
Sci-Fi and Fantasy: The Boys, Good Omens, The Wheel of Time, Paper Girls, The Peripheral, Outer Range and The Lord of the Rings.
Comedy: Mrs. Maisel, Upload, Harlem, The Outlaws and A League of Their Own.
NFL coming. Missing big dramas now and prestige limited series (Emmy-bait)
Well, but my point is that Prime should already clean up all its junk, fix its app (total redesign!) and stop worrying about having so much content. People keep their subscription to prime anyway; so make PrimeVideo a prestigious place (with some popular but well done shows), well organized, without emulating Netflix with a bunch of bad stuff getting cancelled.
You don’t have to spend that much. They have what they need, but they don’t seem smart.
The book was surprisingly good and there’s moments I can see right from the page which gives me some hope this might be good too.
I also see some changes as well, such as
What appears to be Reece meeting with Hartley
The initial ambush. In the book it was in an outdoors area IIRC. This one appears to be in an underground area (which admittedly does make more sense)
What looks like a kind of psychological element (where he imagined himself with the rifle instead of the guitar). I don’t remember that.
I’m not sure how much of a fan I am of Constance Wu having been cast as Katie, if only because it kind of potentially impacts her character in comparison to the book.
I’m very excited for this. I really hope Tayylor Kitsch has a decent role in this. He is a fantastic actor but has gotten pretty unlucky with the things he chooses to be in.
Also Chris Pratt has been great in everything ive seen him in.
I read this book a few years ago. Its by far one of my favorite thrillers. Its insanely good. If you have the chance, read it. Its a series now with the character. But the first one. Oh man, you feel this dudes misery and I wont spoil anything, but its got a great story. I hope this is faithful to it. Because there is some amazingly dramatic stuff that happens in the book!
wooo, constance wu! not a show I’m a least bit interested in otherwise, unfortunately.
Looks like a pointless action show to me.
Kinda like they’re trying to make another “Reacher”, but without the charm/irony that made it watchable.
Punching a medal into a casket…[so hot right now.](https://youtu.be/giXco2jaZ_4?t=2m04s)

Looks like a modern, big budget Steven Seagal movie.
Generic action with a generic title! Catch it!

it felt more like a movie trailer
This looks interesting. 10 seconds into the trailer I was clear that this isn’t some dumb action story.
I hope they don’t release another trailer and spoil the story. This teaser had enough hooks as it is!
I’m kinda getting fed up of seeing him in everything. I’m even fed up of him as Starlord, its all just Pratt overload
In it for Riggins

I think this looks awesome. Not sure why everyone is hating so hard.

Oh my! The OFFICIAL teaser.
I made the mistake of watching the unofficial teaser last week and it was three hours of Sebastian Maniscalco comedy.
