I never understood this meme. Maybe I was always high enough level to deal with them. Feral ghoul reaver can be the real terror (I think mainly in Fo3), they take a ridiculously amount of ammo to kill.
Scariest thing for me is stupidly forgetting to save a good hour in…then dying from something incredibly dumb. A la thinking I could take on the entire Caesar’s Legion just cuz.
It was the sound those things made and their jerky movements that really hit a primal part of my brain. I actually felt a little rattled just recalling it.
I’ll never forget the first time one of these came at me. My older autistic brother was so engrossed because he’s never seen a game like this at time. It came flying at the screen and he screamed so loud and jumped back. He never watched me play it again.
Everyone remembers their first time seeing a deathclaw. The scariest part was when you turn to run but you can’t because your already getting hit.
This is the reason I carry too much antivenom when I’m not even in their territory
Time for VATS and a shotgun.
Cazadores are scary as hell but give tons of points and satisfaction when I wipe out a nest of them
I literally carried a gun specifically for these fucks in my playthroughs.
Ah yes my first 15 minutes of NV and the genius idea to go left
“Why is it telling me to go right? New Vegas is that way.”
“Oh… **OOOOOH!**”
And that’s just the one you can see
Batman Arkham Knight, when you pump into Man-Bat for the first time on rooftops.
1st Zombie encounter in the original Resident Evil on the PlayStation.
It’s definitely gotta be Australia!
Nah, its that deathclaw in the distance.
You think its gone, then bam!
Load checkpoint.
Bam!
Load checkpoint.
Bam!
Thanks OP. I had managed to block those little assholes from my awareness for a couple years now. All that effort, lost.
New Vegas is the best!!!
You think those are scary. Wait til you meet a deathsquito. Scariest bug in any game
Have you played the AvP games? Tell me those games aren’t scarier than anything FO can throw at the player with a straight face 😉
I made two of these fuckers fight a young deathclaw in the Thorn yesterday and it got venom gangbanged to high heaven.
Oh well
How bad can it be
It’s just a huge fly
🥹
Im not scared of Cazadors but i absolutely hate them. There is no reason for them to be that fast and that strong
I remember thinking that’s just bug, in every other game they weak asf. Man was I wrong…
I just had a war flashback seeing this picture.
Yeah because literally 2 seconds ago it was on top of that hill way back there.

You feel a little woozy.
Need to get to New Vegas.
That’s North, let’s go this way. Clearly that’s faster.
Look at that little bug. I just killed a schoolhouse full of bugs.
Hmm, that bug isn’t as small as I thought. Better pull out that rifle I got.
…
HOLY FUCK!!! I should take the other path. Clearly the quarry route is where I’m supposed to go.
[This game was rigged, from the start]
*Uninstalls the game* That should do it!
get an SMG and shoot those fuckers in the wings
If this game ever gets remade…those things in HD are going to terrify an entire new generation of gamers.
Pretty basic but geckos just sprinting at you are pretty scary
First time seeing it: eh it’s probably like a stronger bloatfly. NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE
Deathclaw related:
randomly wandering into Old Oney and finding myself pretty overwhelmed.
Other than that, the subway tunnels in fo3 always gave me terrible anxiety.
Scariest thing for me is stupidly forgetting to save a good hour in…then dying from something incredibly dumb. A la thinking I could take on the entire Caesar’s Legion just cuz.
this same mofo is scary in dont starve too
Vats the wing!
Now imagine that in VR.
And since this is New Vegas, the game will crash in about 8 seconds.
It was the sound those things made and their jerky movements that really hit a primal part of my brain. I actually felt a little rattled just recalling it.
This man has never seen a centaur
Boone: I fear no man, but that thing, it scares me.
