In the UK the worst industrial disaster (Flixborough disaster) killed 28 people. In the USA the worst industrial disaster (Texas City disaster) killed 581 people. The second worst industrial disaster was in China (Benxihu Colliery explosion) killed 1,549 people. Technically Wanggongchang Explosion could have killed 20,000 … back in 1626?!?!?!?!
