That was fantastic. I think the best part was the corgi of unusual size.
There was something so satisfying about pandemic content. Yes…there was a METRIC SHIT TON of absolute garbage, specifically in the early days. But some people just grew into it. I think my favorite stuff was Colbert’s home and office studios and the intimacy with the staff (you know…his family) and his wife.
I also noticed that Seth Myers stopped wearing suits nightly and now just wears the best button ups in late night
It’s actually kind of funny how Hollywood reverted to 2008 YouTube collabs to keep active and working.
The way I uncontrollably laughed when Adam Sandler came in is ridiculous
I love Carl Reiner. It was really nice to see him and Rob in this.
This is Carl Reiner’s final performance. He plays the grandfather at the end. The grandson is played by his actual son—and the director of *The Princess Bride*—Rob Reiner. Carl died three days after filming his scene.
I recently read that the two performances were shot separately and Rob didn’t know who was playing the other character until the filmmakers reached out to him after Carl’s death.
This is a fucking masterpiece!
Holy crow I’ve seen this movie a hundred times and never realized Mark Knopfler did the score.
And it might contain the most perfect curtain call/final bow ever made by any actor.
“As you wish.”
Goddamn.
This was one of the entertainment highlights of our bubble. I bubbled with my fiancée, her parents since they have a family business, and a family friend who consulted for the business. I didn’t see my parents outside of occasionally driving up to their house and saying hi from the car or FaceTime for quite some time since she worked in an office with lots of anti-masker and later anti-vaxxes.
There was just so much fear and unknown and anxiety and loneliness and loss. And then this type of thing showed us how to connect using technology. It was so silly and captured the spirit of the original so well.
Very funny
Parton Oswalt is so damn good as the Sicilian.
I don’t know how I missed this, but I am happy you shared it.
Love it!
Lt. Dangle at 22:40 hell yea
I think my favorite bit was when Brandon Routh and Courtney Ford swapped characters halfway through the fire swamp
This is the greatest thing i’ve seen in months.
Mackenzie Davis looks remarkably similar to young Robin Wright
This and a Muppet version are the only allowable remakes.
I would see this in theaters.
geez mckenzie davis really does look like Robin Wright
