Janet Dubois played Malona on the show ‘Good Times’.
Still slaps after almost 50 years
Good luck affording the Upper Eastside as a dry cleaner now
Awesome tv show 👏

Lenny Kravitz’s mother played Helen, the wife of the (first on TV) interracial couple on ~~Good Times.~~ Edit: the Jeffersons not Good Times
This is my all time favorite karaoke song.
Sounds like Princess and the Frog
Man, I wish I could dance like Sherman…. that cat has sick moves.
Thanks. That song has been my number one ear worm since about 45 years ago. I like it, but it’s pretty much practically ever present, and now tonight, again.
Considering The Jeffersons was well before my time, it now makes a lot more sense that Sherman Hemsley was in the music video for Nelly’s Batter Up.
Lenny kravits mums in it
My dad was a fairly conservative guy, but he loved this show.
Saw the great 80/90s band Redd Kross absolutely slay this song live.
In the early 2000s, I lived a block away from this building. Every time I would walk past it, I would get a giddy-up in my step and start humming the theme. Every. Single. Time.
Shut up honky
“Shut up honky”
Loved this show. I grew up watching this show.
🖤🏆🖤
This song is the definition of iconic!
I’ve never quite been able to wrap my head around the fact that Sherman Hemsley was a big fan of prog rock, including the oddest of the odd, like Gong. I would have loved to have heard George Jefferson opine on that type of music.
This was for old folks even back in the 70s lol
