I’m intrigued by this and I like everyone involved. I’m more excited though for the upcoming version directed by Robert Zemeckis with Tom Hanks as Geppetto on Disney+
This is shaping up to be really interesting… I hope The Bull Man doesn’t hold back on the darker side of the story… eaten by a whale, abducted by a madman, slowly and painfully becoming a donkey… that’s the kind of thing he’s best at… obviously still for kids, but a little Coraline esque moment or two wouldn’t go a miss if he’s being faithful to the book
Does anyone remember watching Bedhead Bernie’s video talking about this film’s production from years back? It’s a shame that video has been made private.
Story of this is downright disrespectful. He’s using this as a metaphor for fascism, acting as if Italian society was wholly on board with fascism and Pinocchio was the one going against the current. When in reality Italy had a massive communist movement combating Mussoloni at every step, becoming a militant resistance movement and eventually offing this fucker. They literally produced one of the most important thinkers of the last century during this anti-fascitst sturggle, Gramsci.
Not liking the look of Pinocchio himself. Very plain and getting lost in the background. I’m sure it’ll still be a good flick though, given the director’s history.
Starring Amber Heard?

Pans labyrinth fucked me up as a kid. That beer bottle scene is drilled farther Into my brain than that dudes skull.
Already know that cricket is going to give me nightmares.

Why would they release a guillermo del toro pinocchio 3 months after a high budget robert zemeckis pinocchio?
Edit: nvm, it’s netflix vs disney+
Is this one gonna be like the Sonic movie deal where they have to redo the graphics?
Father, when can I leave to be on my own? I’ve got the whole world to see!
Eh, the Pinocchio with Roberto Benigni is, I suspect, better. This Pinocchio looks like a result of incest.
A Pinocchio story: I am Groot.
I’m excited but I will still back out the gay version also
Gives me James and the Giant Peach vibes

No way this can top Pinocchio: A True Story
Wait, there are TWO new Pinocchio movies coming out? Why?
Does anyone remember watching Bedhead Bernie’s video talking about this film’s production from years back? It’s a shame that video has been made private.
The trailer has me super interested in this. The stop-motion animation looks great as well.
Honest to God thought the cricket had a rifle.
Given how dark the original book was (way more than Disney’s), I wonder how close Del Toro will cleave to the source material…
The story is terrifying enough without Guillermo Del Toro. Should be good.
Oh cool with Del Toro directing, this might actually be a good movie instead of a typical 2020’s SJW remake.
“*The official poster for Pinocchio*”
Which one?
(Yes, I know, but still…)
If anyone can make a film creepier than the original Pinocchio, it’s Del Toro.
1st take – OMG HERE WE GO AGAIN MORE RECYCLED CRAP FROM DISNEY
guillermo del toro
2nd take – so december?
Well this looks horrifying, thanks Del Toro.
Studios have a mountain of unproduced scripts, but no, let’s remake Pinocchio.
Does naming the director’s famous horror movie help in marketing this film clearly aimed at Children?
Pinocchio looks like IKEA and Mattress Firm had a baby but got divorced and Olea is refusing to pay child support.
I can see the tagline now;
“Got wood ?”

This poster alone puts the whole live action Disney trailer to shame.
