Why does 1989 look like 1979?
Legend
Got to watch Hip-Hop Evolution narrated by Shad
Oh-oh dropping shit- like a pigeon….
Fucking sick!
Damn that was none but freestyle
Biggie Smalls is the illest!!
BROOKLYN WE MADE IT!!!!
Had a flow like no other, such a shame.
Imagine it’s 1989, you are an aspiring battle rapper and you go up against B.I.G.
Pure talent.
Hell yeah dope ass video
Absolute legend may look like 79 but his rapping style is timeless
Crazy to think 7 years after this he was murdered.
That voice
Man I love whenever his video comes up! It’s always the flow and the way he rides the beat for me in this … kills it. RIP GOAT!
You can tell they knew he was going to get success
Wow, he had his flow, delivery and lyrics down even at such a young age.
He truly was the best
Best flow of all time.
He would be in his very early 50s if he wasn’t murdered.
To shreds you say
He is the biggest ever imho, I was ten in 1989, from the lower middle class suburbs in São Paulo Brazil, he genious music flew over to us down here and filled with power and swag our suburban culture too. Nothing gives me more nostalgia than Biggy and Michael Jackson.
Smoothest, most talented rapper ever.
Like ice cream I’ll scoop ya
Who DON’T you see here?
Diddys leeching ass
Thanks for sharing this. I’ve seen it in one of the documentaries, but never in an uncut form start to finish.
I love that his opponent walks away in defeat before Big is done. That cracks me up.
I’m still in awe of this video to this day. No matter how many times I see it, I am never not impressed. It’s shit like this that has me convinced that he was truly the GOAT and the only reason why that isn’t the most widely accepted conclusion is because his life was cut tragically short and wasn’t able to produce more of that music that would cement that status.
Does anyone have a transcript?
I’m not a native English speaker, can’t understand what he’s saying
