Wow thanks. I honestly forgot about this for a good 12 years before you had to remind me. So creepy. I love it.
Oh my god! Right in the childhood with this one. This representation of the devil never left my mind. Incredible animation.
There’s never going to be another Will Vinton. There’s so much style in all of his animation.
Cannot wait to rewatch now that I’m older and less immediately triggered by Satan!!!!
Not sure what the public reception was to this movie but I thought it was really good. Like for a kids movie I think it actually gets pretty deep into Clemens work as it changed throughout his life.
Like usually with a kids history kind of thing you get something like “Hi I’m Ben Franklin. Wanna fly a kite with me :)” but here it was like “lets look into how bleak and cynical Twain’s work shifted towards as he moves ever closer to death”
