Such a genial fellow.
Thanks for the good laugh Louie, and OP for posting! RIP to one of the greats

Aww man what a wholesome comedian, Louie made everyone feel like family.
RIP buddy.
Great stuff, so smooth.
He was a great comedian and I really enjoyed his mom character on Baskets.
“It’s your bingo alarm? Well who doesn’t have one of those…”
LOL
I love how genuine his “it’s ok” was after she says “sorry!”
I remember his Saturday morning TV show about his family growing up.
Lima beans killed that lady in the audience.
Imo he had a lifetime best character in Baskets. He seemed really happy in that role.
This is great! I watched it twice. I forgot about using Lima beans for bingo š
He’s pure Minnesotan. This kind of reminds me of when Hannibal Buress taped his special in the twin cities. He started telling a story about how he lost his ID and had to still travel, but as soon as he said he lost his wallet a woman in the audience went “OH NO!” and he just had to stop talking and laugh and assure the woman that everything was going to be OK.
What fantastic crowd work. It would have been a real treat to be at that show.
R.I.P. man
If you have not watched ‘Baskets’ you are missing out on some of his finest acting. And its hilarious too.
wait when did Louie pass?
Not sure why that laugh was so funny, but I was nearly crying š
Iāve seen this clip a dozen times.
Makes me laugh every time.
Louie was a GOAT.
Damn man I didn’t know he had passed. He was hilarious. His story of when the FBI came to his parent’s house looking for his brother is a classic.
Highly recommend listening to his appearance on WTF with Marc Maron. Talk about his upbringing, relationship with his father and how he got into comedy.
I’ll never forget when he showed up to my buddies wedding (Louie was his great uncle), I heard him talking before I saw him and it instantly brought back childhood memories
Anybody remember the Saturday morning cartoons “Life with Louie”?
i miss this guy on family feud
You know he’s good by the way he can just casually move onto something like that with total confidence, do well and not insult, yell or swear.
I wish I had seen his stand up, he was one of my favorites growing up.
I saw Louie Anderson in a small theater in Crystal Lake Illinois, he sat in a chair for the entire show and commanded that stage as if it was his living room. The whole fucking place was dying the entire show.
If you like Louie, I cannot recommend one of his appearances on āThis is not happeningā enough. Itās an amazing story and I laugh every time I think about it.
