i fuckin love this show. It’s like Downton Abbey but grittier and more biting. Carrie Coon kills it.
Also fun fact: Yellowstone 1883 and this show take place in the same year. Wild to think just how utterly depraved and desolate the Western U.S. used to be
Neat. I really enjoyed this show. I thought the ‘Mrs. Russell tries to gain acceptance into the New York social elite’ plot was resolved way too quickly at the end, but besides that it was largely good.
I hope Marian’s actress took some goddamn lessons in the interval. Total snoozefest whenever she was on screen.
I loved this series and I wasn’t a fan of Uptown Downtown Abbey Top Ranking. This just hit the right marks.
The cast is really good, Christine Baranski, Carrie Coon, Cynthia Nixon, Nathan Lane… Really charmed by Denée Benton. If only they could expand on Audra McDonald’s character, because it’s the amazingly talented Audra McDonald. Maybe she could meet with Christine Baranski’s character and – oh, I don’t know – start an all female law firm or something.
I’m the only person I know that watches this so damn am I excited it’s coming back, felt like I hadn’t heard anything from it for a while so I was worried it got cancelled

I’m definitely *not* a fan of the Downton Abbey/Upstairs, Downstairs type drama at all.
But I found this show strangely compelling. The cast is fanfuckingtastic, and the art direction even better. Mrs Coon is captivating.

I really liked the first season, I’m looking forward this.
“Life is hard for the extremely wealthy” doesn’t seem like a genre that would resonate for me, yet here we are.
