forgot to switch to my off-hand sword and now I’m taking a casual five seconds to charge loretta’s greatbow while a walking tree winds up to smack my unarmored body into paste with a half ton piece of metal nbd
Try being a 60 Str, heavy armor wearing, two-handed great hammer welding brute, 95% of the way through a swing and 1 little dog bite breaks your poise and interrupts you. Then you get hit by the second dog while stuck in the stagger animation.
The game won’t be me though. All the Fromsoft games have been the same and I will keep forcing my way through. Int/dex easy mode for NG+ though.
Magic in FromSoft games is interesting. It takes a lot of investment to use effectively, which makes sense. But then the spells are either stupidly overpowered or utter garbage
First run through DS1 was as a Sorcerer and it’s this funny dynamic of both being able to breeze through normal enemies thanks to Soul Arrow and also being super underpowered for bosses until you get Magic Weapon
Ah yes, watch me getting HALF OF MY MANA sucked up by these decrepit ghouls! >!I’m currently running through the Academy screaming at these glowy-eyes ghouls and stupid glintstone spamming nerds…!<

Me trying to use night and flame lmao
I absolutely love this. It’s freaking hilarious

. I have the game in my library, but I haven’t made time to play it yet.
Lol dumb wizard, it’s okay I get smacked when winding up my sword sometimes as well
Dark Souls 1 has an easy mode
It’s called Late game Sorcerer
Yep, that about sums it up
Gravity spells my friend. Those and the Hoarfrost Stomp on your sword.
As a pure physical character in my first play through I approve of this. I love slapping the shit out of mages

Nah. Astrologer is probably the easiest class to start the game with.
Tell this to that sodding NPC mage in the Carian Study Hall. That bastard made me rage quit twice.
Now show the ‘Late Game Mage’ edit with you kamehameha’ing God.
Once you get Rock Sling and the Meteorite Staff it’s been complete cake walk..
I’m not saying I won’t hit a wall soon, but I’ve been killing bosses in a single attempt since picking it up..

Robes are just fancy medieval labcoats. Change my mind.
Elden Ring has some of the strongest magic in the series.
“That’s it! I’m charging up my ultimate move now, I’ve had it with this-”
*a leaf gently brushes past the caster’s leg*
“Ah shit, my spell! I can’t cast in this environment, I’m too jumpy!”
I heard magic was super over powered in the first game
That’s why I usually go pyromancer. You get the spells like a mage but keep the weapon stats like a warrior.
I actually dislike the fact that there are some items and builds you literally can not do until you’ve done multiple play through.
Like in ds3, no one is going for that item behind the frogs in the psn swamp on your first couple of play through lol
It’s funny, yesterday my sister was telling me how OP magic is, and how it’s the game’s “easy mode”.
Mage is kinda op in DS3, you are able to kill the first boss with just soul arrows
You missed the part where you actually get the spell off on your min-max build and the boss gets fucking orbital striked and explodes.
Followed by 30 seconds of panic rolling and then this again. Repeat until you beat the game.
Wait until you get the spell that requires 70 Intelligence to use. Its like charging up the Spirit Bomb.
There is as always an item (talisman in ER) that gives shorter casting time
This game feels way more friendly to Mage builds than DS3 was
Wait, a mage surviving a bitchslap?
Tbh this is all Souls game experience:
momentum of a mid-swing 100 kg sword being swung by a magically enhanced super undead gets stopped by a fucken mouse nibbling on your toe
Lvl dex for cast time refuction.
