The derelict farm I inherited in Elrod, Alabama. This place creeps me out.

It looks like the love shack got bombed by a b-52
Quick sweep and some paint. Then some seeds and a few grow lights. I think you could make a go of it.
I *swear* I’ve been here, in Fallout 4…
I’ll buy it
This was once someone’s dream for a good life.
what do you plan on doing with it?
Can I have it?
That room looks like it has many stories to tell!
That place looks terrible but still has good wood. Renovate.
Any 70s Pontiac GTOs laying around?
Alabama. You know the growing of tobacco has shrunk to just a few farms. Are there still plants here? You could do the hippie organic shit. It might be a go. No power…no problem .l.maybe have a tenant live for free and tend it? What about running thru there with a metal detector? Possible confederate stuff…belt buckles are worth a lot. Could help. Horse bridle buttons, soldiers stuff…
Maybe do a mini weekly vlog and post on YouTube. If it catches on, it could help recoup some costs. People love watching this kind of cleaning/renovation shit.
It only creeps you out because it’s 100% haunted
*but congrats on your haunted inheritance!!
If you’re gonna demolish it, take the place apart piece by piece maybe. Those huge roof beams may be worth quite a bit of money
Once you clean the floor out it will look a lot better
I know that smell. Reminds me of the farm I grew up on. The out buildings all had varying degrees of exposure to the elements. Takes me back.
so much room for activities bro, find a hobby or make an air bnb, property is gold man.
“You can derelict my balls”
Edit: Shit I got the quote slightly wrong but so glad the reference is still alive and strong.
Looks like an abandoned house in Stalker
This looks like it’s from an episode of “True Detective”
I’d be into helping clean it up.
I smell a sitcom!!
Better get to work, after the end of two years, grandpa’s spirit will visit and judge your progress!
There are things in this world that we will never fully understand.
I grew up in Elrod, lived most of my life there. I probably know your family.
Could be the timber is worth something.
Don’t be creeped out it’s just old! A deep cleaning that’ll take some $ and time and you could turn that into a great greenhouse!
First, you gotta plant that parsnip. Then, go meet everyone in town.
So first you need to clean up all the rubble using only black plastic bags. That should unlock the sweeping brush so you can sweep the floors. In fact, before that you need to find and read the letter from your grandfather, that will set everything in motion. Enjoy!
This is the beginning of Harvest Moon. It is your destiny to quit your job and restore the farm to its former glory. Buy some potato seeds, level up your tools, and go to all the festivals in town. If you play your cards right, you’ll even meet your soul mate and start a family! Good luck farmer.
Let me guess, the terms of the will are very clear and you must spend one night here in order to collect your inheritance…
Lucky you! Old structural building materials can have big value. A lot of folks (myself and my husband included) like the old and rusty look. There are actual salvage building stores that buy this stuff!!! Old windows, beams, rusty galvanized sheeting etc. My SIL got a four grand for an old barn on some property she bought. I look at this picture and see $$$.
Looks like a great opportunity for a fix me up. Little money and a little elbow grease and take you a long way
Where’s the farm?

Don’t go in the basement. And definitely don’t open the heavy locked door in the basement.
My Dude. Those beams. Probably worth a small fortune.
It would be cool if you had any other pics of the place!
If I inherited a farm, creepy or not. I’m living the dream. Make room evil manifestations. I’m moving in
Looks like an excellent burn’er down’er
I live in AL, never heard of Elrod. What’s general region is it in? If it’s near me I might be interested in buying it.
Grab a metal detector and search the area. Probably some cool stuff to find
I would LOVE this. History is so important. 200 years is a lot of memories and conversations.
Depending on what those wooden beams are you could maybe get it dismantled for someone for the wood.
You should petition for a City name change to Elrond
It’s a real fixer upper
Some value in old reclaimed lumber there!
“Let’s hide behind the chainsaws!”
George Santos new home..
Looks like something straight out of fallout 76
