I would love to have a [V2000](https://youtu.be/SeSz6MoX00Q) deck in my collection, it’s the only video tape format I know of where you can flip the tape over like an audio cassette. The [PXL2000](https://youtu.be/TCXJ5twf5tM) which records terrible video on an actual audio cassette, doesn’t count. The [DCC](https://youtu.be/ZAMsnKNX7vM) format was also interesting. You can almost (but not really) use those decks to make digital audio recordings on ordinary cassettes. Also don’t call VHS tapes VCR tapes because Philips put out a format that actually was called [VCR.](https://youtu.be/wC_CLEQnM8w) (friend mocked my nerdy ass for pointing this out.) 🤓🤓🤓
Crazy to think if they just kept like 1-5% of some of these ventures, they would likely be one of the highest valued companies today.
