Oh this is so lovely.
That was awesome
That put a smile on my face first thing this morning. Thank you!
All of these cute kids are in their 50’s now.
Beautiful 🥰
This is great. Karen was taken from us far too soon.
These people get it. So much respect. It can’t be easy to translate the words to go along with the score . Very cool
And the smiles from the Carpenters, too. They look genuinely happy. Best vibes of the day.
Love me some Karen Carpenter!!
She was a brilliant talent who was so underrated when she was alive 😢 Left a ton of good music behind, she’ll never be forgotten or go out of style 😇
I’m not crying, you’re crying!
Heartwarming and humbling
Beautiful!
Thank you so much for posting this!!!
I was a teacher at a Japanese kindergarten a long time ago and I have to say that those kids in their little uniforms are ridiculously adorable.
She really was wildly talents that Karen carpenter.
She has Raggedy Ann on her pants! This is awesome on so many levels.
Humbled
She had true perfect pitch
I’d argue Karen Carpenter has a top ten American female voice and one of the most underrated performers in American history because of her eating disorder. She was an amazing talent, and I’d encourage younger Redditors to listen to more of her and learn about her!
It’s so tragic that the business killed her off Like that. Lovely woman with, earth-shatering voice.
Is that Raggedy Ann on her pant leg???? So 70’s and so amazing! Loved the Carpenters.
This was so amazing! You can tell Karen put in work to get the lyrics and pronunciation down and really nailed it. What a talent, what a sign of respect to your audience, cute little kids being encouraged, just everything is awesome.
I went to Japan when I was 19, The Carpenters are incredibly popular and beloved over there. We went to Karaoke and my host mother sang a Carpenter’s song. Not surprising, they were a wonderful band. Karen had so much more to give.
He looks exactly like Mark Hamill there lol
She had such a wonderful voice, and the kids were awesome.
R.I.P. Karen.
This is so nice
You could tell that she cared about the children and was fully engaged with them rather than the audience. What a lovely soul and a sweet song.
Absolutely angelic was my Karen Carpenter. I wish she would have sang with Camilo Sesto.
好き
Now that is old school cool!
This makes me so happy.
Raggedy Ann bell bottoms are bussin
Wow that dude looks like Alfie Allen
Her Japanese pronunciation was pretty good too! This was beautiful and made my heart lighter.
Lovely.😊 Such a talented singer. I was gutted when I found out she had passed away. Those little girls are adorable & probably the same age as me( Yikes!)
this warms my heart
