I feel like unsuspecting viewers of the future are going to stumble across the fact that Oscar-winning director Peter Jackson made a music video for The Beatles’ last song, and this is not at all what they’ll expect, lol.
There still is a lot of unreleased Beatles music that hasn’t seen the light of day. I wonder if we’ll ever get to hear Carnival of Light while Paul is still alive!
Song’s alright, but not a patch on Bird or Real, which are far more melodic. As for the video, it swerves from poignant to embarrassing almost every second. Somewhat disastrous all round.
That music video was extremely moving, and the somewhat awkardness of super imposing past clips, those fades, transitions, close ups, felt quite deliberate in a Beatles kind of way. Emotional, disjointed, what releasing your “final song” with 2 of your bandmates having passed would feel like.
Not the Beatles. John and George were not in the room to do what the Beatles did, WHEN they were the Beatles! Not saying a bad song, but not the Beatles.

A fitting tribute to the greatest band in the world.

My heart, dude.
I too, miss John and George,
I know it’s the Beatles – But, it’s *really* good.
I know john was a goofball but i kinda wish they chose just a little more chill version of him in this video hah

This is so embarrassing

It took a couple of days but I’ve really warmed up to this song.
